This seasonal release autumn ale is the perfect companion to the changing seasons - from harvest to the holidays! The recipe starts with Briess CBW® Porter base extract partnered with Caramel 90L, Carabrown®and dark chocolate steeping grains.
To spice things up we added cinnimon, allspice and a hint of ginger. SAGE BRÄU added real pumpkin during the boil.
The selected hop additions provide a mild balance in bitterness and this ale is fermented with Safale S -04 premium yeast.
It was in the primary fermenter for one week, secondary carboy for 2 weeks, then bottle conditioned for 3 weeks before we tried the first bottle.
IBUs: 19 - 22 ABV: 5.0% - 6.0% Difficulty: Easy
